Dr. John Hospers was professor emeritus of philosophy at the University of Southern California. He was also the Libertarian Party’s first presidential candidate in 1972. He speaks here at the International Society for Individual Liberty’s World Libertarian Conference in 2000. Dr. Hospers recalls a lifetime spent promoting the ideas of liberty and touches on everything from his friendship with Ayn Rand to his positions on war, civil liberties, and the current state of American politics. He passed away in 2011.
